Gene G. Wright is a partner in
Dmyterko & Wright Partners, a retail real estate development
and i9nvestment firm. Wright, who has over 30 years of retail
industry experience, was president and CEO of Northstar Advisory
Group, a real estate consulting firm and Senior Managing Director
for Retail Services at CB Richard Ellis He was also a former
associate partner at Accenture, where his responsibilities
included The Retail Place, Accenture’s global research
and development center for retail strategies located in Chicago,
IL in addition to client engagement work.
Prior to joining Accenture, Wright was COO at The Warehouse
Club. Wright also served as Vice President, Food Purchasing
and Director of Operations at Cincinnati, OH-based Makro,
Inc. (an acquired subsidiary of Kmart) and was part of a Netherlands
based management team that helped to establish the warehouse
club concept in the United States in the early 1980’s
Wright has been involved in a significant number of real estate
related projects for major retailers and developers over the
past several years including Radio Shack, AT & T Wireless,
The Limited, Home Depot, Bridgestone Firestone, Fazolis’s,
Crosland and Commercial Net Lease Realty among others, specializing
in multi-market store expansion and development activities
to help achieve aggressive store opening goals. He has been
a featured speaker at retail conferences in North and South
America, Europe and Japan, and while at Accenture, participated
in the development of retail globalization strategies and
retailing best practices. He has been featured in magazines,
and television including CNN, Nightly Business Report, Brazilian
and Japanese television, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago
Tribune and Women’s Wear Daily. Mr. Wright holds a BBA
Business Administration from West Georgia College.
